What is Duro-Last?

Ideal for low-slope roofing systems which are susceptible to ponding precipitation, Duro-Shield Silicone is a silicone-based roof coating designed to resist natural weathering while providing longlasting watertight protection. Its brilliant white finish offers superior reflectivity and energy savings while additional color options are available to meet a variety of aesthetic needs. When properly prepared and applied following Duro-Last specifications, Duro-Shield Silicone can be used on the following roof substrates:

 

• Single-ply membranes: - Aged Duro-Last PVC (polyvinyl chloride) - Other aged PVCs - EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) - TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin)

• Spray-applied polyurethane foam

• Mineral and granule-surfaced built up (BUR) and modified bitumen

• Smooth-surfaced built up (BUR) and modified bitumen

• Aged galvanized metal

• GALVALUME® metal

• Kynar® metal

• Vinyl-coated metal

• Concrete

• Wood
